Grooming Familiarization
Free 20 minute visit for the puppy to familiarize themselves with the grooming environment
Introduction
At Paws Oasis we are happy to offer a free familiarization visit for your puppy. We understand the fears and concerns that your puppy will face when they come to the spa for the first visit. As soon as your puppy has been vaccinated, please give us a call and make an appointment for you and your pup to get familiar with Paws Oasis.
The first visit should be a familiarization visit, slowly introducing them to the Spa. We start with petting, cuddling, and playing with them. Then let them explore the unfamiliar surroundings.
Once the pup has looked around they will be placed on a grooming table. Brushes and some tools, like a clipper will be introduced to them. They will have the chance to smell and familiarize themselves with the objects and hear the sound they make.
We will also be picking up their paws and playing them to make this a fun thing to do! If needed we will trim the nails and paw pad.
While you are hear we’ll walk you through best practices to do at home and what tools to use. Also go over the best way to maintain your puppy’s coat type.

Gentle handling of the paws, ears, and face, to help teach the puppy to stand still on a grooming table
